Early bird

Took me a while but I'm back!

Life has been pretty hectic and tough. We moved to a different neighborhood in Chicago, baby stopped sleeping through the night and started to wake up at dawn.

I have been a tired mess (still learning how to do it all quickly).

I had some spring outfits planned out but we barely had any spring in Chicago. It was a rapid leap into summer, hardly any transition, sadly.

Haven't been following any trends either)). But I heard lilac was big this season? Big sleeves as well? I am wearing a nice folklore-ish Obsessions dress from Free People.

Spring

Monday, April 9, 2018

A lot of people have been talking about the weather lately. We're all waiting for you, Spring. Please, come! Waking up in the morning, seeing yet another snowy day, dressing my baby in her snow suit, that she's actually growing out of quickly, seeing crazy heating bills...enough already.

P.S. My smile here is totally fake.

Endless winter and stuff that helps me to survive it

Saturday, January 27, 2018

I can't believe it's still January. It's been the hardest winter so far, and the coldest.

The one main thing that lifted up my spirits significantly was "Magnificent Mrs. Maisel", an Amazon show, a genius feel-good show. Watch it, especially if you liked "Mad Men".

Other things that help and go perfectly well with binge watching the TV show are extra dark chocolate, cinnamon tea, and occasionally, a glass of red wine.

P.S. Have you noticed my velvet puffer jacket? It's soft and cozy like being wrapped in a favorite blanket.

Color of the season

Let me share with you some of my wardrobe musts as a new mom, and some of those items I purchased during Cyber Monday sales.

So, I love winter because there're hats! I need hats because I don't wash my hair as often now, and I haven't had it trimmed and colored since July maybe. Bottom line, my hair is not the top priority for me now but I do love a good knit, and red color is a huge plus, and I can run out with my baby whenever there's a chance because I have low vitamin D, and I need the sun, and the baby needs some fresh air, etc....my hair can wait ;-).

The second most important item is this red parka. It's a practical and quick addition of color and warmth to my outfits. I love it, it's perfect, and the price is even better - it's on sale now here.

Anything denim works anytime, no need to brainstorm what will go with what because denim works with it all. I dared to buy this deconstructed mini skirt from Levi's, here.

Lastly, a pair of "go anywhere" yet cool boots. These are made out of recycled tires! There's almost an inch of dust on them as they're my heavy duty Engineer boots by Frye.

I am sure I'm forgetting something but I'd mention it in my next post.

Happy Monday!
