One thing I've learnt when shopping for perfumes: open mindedness. Some brands, or even celebrity perfumes (I enjoy Britney Spears' Fantasy tremendously now, after I succumbed to numerous good reviews of the scent and bought it), can deliver some pleasant surprises.
Something similar happened with the Jimmy Choo perfume: I saw it at Marshalls, and immediately lost any interest until one day, when I was wandering around at Ulta and trying Dolce and Gabbana's One Desire, I sprayed Jimmy on my wrist just in case.
When I left the store, I was amazed how the immediate freshness of pear changed to the darkness of patchouli, and ended with a bit of sweetness.
That was exactly what I was looking for this summer - not too fresh, a bit flowery but green, sweet but not cloying, and a little dark and masculine. It sounds complex, but the scent is quite uncomplicated. Plus, the bottle is rather good looking! I am happy :-)
If you like orchid and patchouli, this perfume is worth checking out!
P.S. While trying to decide between nail polishes, Zoya's Pixie Dust in Solange and OPI's Pussy Galore, to use with Sally Hansen's Sugar Coat in Red Velvet as an accent, I gave up and chose both :-)

Самую главную тактику, которой я придеживаюсь в поиске парфюма - беспристрастнось. Я была полна всяческих предубеждений о "звёздных" парфюмах, например. Но, прочивав множество положительных отзывов о "Фантазии" Бритни Сприс, я переступила через всяческие стереотипы и уже больше года наслаждаюсь этим прекрасным запахом!
Почти то же самое случилось и с парфюмом от Jimmy Choo. Я увидела, его в стоковом магазине по сниженной цене и тут же потеряла интерес. Чуть позже, прогуливаясь по другому магазину и пробуя новый парфюм Dolce and Gabbana One Desire, я брызнула на последок Джимми Чу на запястье.
Когда я уже вышла на улицу, то почувствовала свежесть груши, а потом пачули с чуть сладкой нотой. Этот парфюм оказался тем, что я искала для лета: цветочно-зелёный, сладкий, но не приторный и ещё немного жестковатый, напоминающий мужской парфюм.
Если вы любите едва сладкие ароматы, орхидею и пачули, то стоит попробовать Jimmy Choo!
