Many Americans are politically involved or at least interested. And last year, I exercised my citizen's duty to vote for the first time.
Politically, states are divided into red and blue. I live in a blue state; and just like my blue-denim outfit, this shade doesn't look "finished" without some pops of red :-)
Another important thing in America - cars. It all depends where you live, of course; but most American states require one to drive. Unfortunately, in Michigan, there's no way around it - one has got to have a car.
And, finally, American fast food and drive throughs that make the food even faster. I am not really a hamburger eater, however I may occasionally indulge in a veggie or turkey burger.
Of course, there's much more to America but it will have to be in a different post!
Как и мой наряд, штаты в Америке делятся на "красные" (республиканцы) и "голубые" (демократы). Я живу в "голубом" штате, но согласитесь, голубой без красного был бы немного скучноват! Я "подразбавила" деним красными аксессуарами.
Ещё в Америке просто никак не обойтись без машины. Есть, конечно, исключения Нью-Йорк или Бостон, например, где многие живут без водительских прав. Мичиган, к сожалению, не имеет таких мест.
И, конечно же, фаст-фуд с проездом на машине, что делаеет "фаст" ещё быстрее! Я не особая поклонница гамбургеров, но могу время от времени соблазниться.
В Америке много ещё всего, но об этом я, может быть, напишу в другой раз.
