I have a dubious attitude towards motels in the US. They're definitely quite unique for me since I wasn't born here, and their style attracts me, especially those in California and Florida. For me, they just have the 1960s spirit, and I do love the old signs! At the same time I don't feel like staying there ever.
I am also a little nostalgic because my favorite TV show, Mad Men, has come to its end. Motels are an absolute symbol of that era in America for me - families going on road trips, stopping at a motel, kids in the pool, and their parents drinking Coca Cola.
There're tons of motels along Michigan Ave, and some still have signs like the one in my pictures.
I couldn't wait to wear my H&M jumpsuit again since I bought it pretty close to the end of fall last year, and only wore it once here. I paired it with my new floral sandals; I think military/utility goes well with girly/floral.

Первый мотель в Америке построили в 20х годах, но пик популярности пришелся на середину 60х, как раз в эру одного из моих любимых сериалов "Безумцы". Так и представляю семью в дороге, они останавливаются в мотеле, дети купаются в бассейне, а взрослые потягивают Кока Колу.
Несмотря на всю эту романтику, в современном мотеле я останавливаться не советую, особенно в этом, что на фото вдоль проспекта Мичиган. Мне просто не внушает доверие их чистота.
Мне очень хотелось снова надеть этот комбез. Я его купила в конце осени прошлого года и надела всего раз здесь. Мне кажется его милитари стиль хорошо сочетается с цветочными босоножками.
