So, this blog has been dormant lately but there is an explanation. Lots of things happened, one of them is moving to Chicago!
I'm pretty excited and happy but, at the same time, I'm so overwhelmed, I'm not sure where to begin.
After a stressful packing period when I had to make lots of decisions regarding what stays and what comes with me; or when I was worrying about how the cats are going to adapt to the new place (thankfully, the kitties are pretty happy after some adjustments), there followed another, more stressful period of time which is happening right now as I'm writing this :-).
After almost ten years of living in a small town in Michigan, I'm having some big city anxiety, trying to get used to this bigness again.
It's funny that it took me a few months, if not years, to get used to small town living, and now when I feel like I'm not a big city girl anymore, I move to a big city!
So, while trying to arrange my furniture according to Feng Shui (crazy, I know), discovering the new city, and rediscovering myself, I will try to keep blogging as much as I can because I'm sure that my style will see some changes with this new chapter in my life, and I would love to share some shots of beautiful Chicago!
But for now, some pictures from last week, still from Michigan. I took a break from packing and enjoyed a leisurely walk on the first day of November.
Я опять пропала. Но у меня есть хорошее оправдание, я переехала в Чикаго! Последний месяц я уже жила постоянными сборами, решениями проблем с переездом, мыслями о том как я и кошки будем привыкать к новой жизни.
Интересно, что я вот-вот смирилась с жизнью в маленьком городке, полюбила дом с садом, а теперь опять в огромный город, квартиру, и снова привыкать к тому от чего так долго отвыкала.
Мне очень хотелось перемен и, когда мечта уехать из Мичигана сбылась, я сдрейфила. Меня стали пугать толпы людей, незнакомые длинные улицы, пробки на дорогах и даже шум из соседней квартиры. Даже кошки уже привыкли к новой обстановке, а я все шарахаюсь)).
В целом, я конечно же, довольна и впечатлений хоть отбавляй. Уже очень хочется освоиться и делиться в блоге новыми фотографиями города.
А пока, последние в этом году фото из Мичигана. В первый день ноября, между сборами, мы радовались хорошей погоде и гуляли по любимым местам.
