A blanket scarf is the best accessory for me this season, besides a smile, of course. Actually, it took me a few years to jump on the bandwagon, and buy the scarf.
If you haven't noticed, every blogger and their mother have worn this plaid scarf for years now, and it's still pretty popular.
Every time I wanted to buy it, it was sold out. I was quick enough and got it before it sold out this year. And it's perfect for Chicago. The scarf keeps me warm and stylish on my long walks, and I do walk a lot.
I want to see as much as possible in the city. I'm not going to make the same mistakes I made when I lived in Saint Petersburg, Russia, one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
I lived there for over a year, and never really saw all the nice historic museums, places from the classic novels, canals, etc. I wanted to avoid all the touristy places because I didn't want to seem like I was a tourist myself. And while trying to assimilate so hard, I missed out on a lot of fun things. This is not going to happen this time.
Мои первые фото из Чикаго, точнее из Линкольн Парк, что находится где-то в десяти минутах езды от центра. Несмотря на то, что я скучаю по Мичигану, мне нравится, что в Чикаго приходится много ходить. Вчера, например, мы прошли километров десять, гуляя по набережной.
В среднем, здесь много хожу пешком, поэтому я очень надеюсь скинуть те килограммы, которые набрала при типичном американском образе жизни в маленьком городке. Можно и помечтать!
А еще в Мичигане, где все на машине, шарф и шапка только мешались, а теперь пришло время таких огромных палантинов - очень спасают от ветров и выглядят стильно.
Конечно же, здесь еще и очень красиво, недалеко от дома пляж, парк, а вид на небоскребы захватывает дух.
И не менее важное - множество крутых магазинов, рай для шопоголика как я).
