Psychedelic top

Sunday, March 8, 2020

This Free People Psychedelic top is one of my best TJ Maxx finds this winter, too bad I didn't get all the colors they had!

I love it because it is flattering for a pear shape figure - it visually widens the shoulders plus gives an illusion of a narrower waist. It comes in many cool colors too.

Denim.

I have a lot of jeans and can't imagine what I'd wear most of the time without them. I've debated buying this pair of Levi's for a while. Now they're my favorite. I got them on sale, they are  501 stretch skinnies.

Beanies.

I also love a good beanie, the one I'm wearing is versatile and warm. This beanie is by Madewell.

Sunglasses.

Mine are from Amazon, and look a lot like Celine square sunnies.

Everyday wear: puffer, warm knit, denim

Sunday, February 2, 2020

My toddler picked this puffer for me when we went to Gap. I gave in even though I wanted it in black, and felt ridiculous in lilac. But it's been growing on me. I went for a very oversized look, and bought a large to fit my extra chunky knits into it.

Andy Warhol T-shirt

Tuesday, September 25, 2018

A fashion rule says you gotta ditch your cat tees by the time you're thirty! I'm going to be forty soon and I'm guessing it's OK now to go back to cats. If you take yourself seriously, do follow the rule. If not - get yourself a cat tee!

I failed to mention my kitten heel mules in the last post. I love them. It's my all time favorite shoe, albite the impracticality. My pair is basically a thrifted vintage pair of Donald J Pliner mules from back in the day when they made them in Italy.

Le Rebelle

So... my animal print obsession is back. A couple of years ago, I'd have never thought it was possible though.

I do have some preferences as no animal print is the same. I also like it flirty, sporty, fun, and keep it to a minimum.

Pictured is my go to outfit, a pair of jeans with a fun tee - perfect to run after my baby, pick her up, redirect her, and repeat 100 times a day. All we have been doing lately is walk and walk some more.

Spring

Monday, April 9, 2018

A lot of people have been talking about the weather lately. We're all waiting for you, Spring. Please, come! Waking up in the morning, seeing yet another snowy day, dressing my baby in her snow suit, that she's actually growing out of quickly, seeing crazy heating bills...enough already.

P.S. My smile here is totally fake.

Slouchy white boots

Wednesday, November 29, 2017

I've been looking to wear these white boots for over a year now, never really had any chance until this past weekend. Their slouchiness, or softness, gives a lot of options - I can wear them as over-the-knee, or tall boots or even as mid-calf boots. This pair are past season Sam Edelman boots that are hard to find now, but there're plenty slouchy options out there for sale.

I remember in the old days it took us hours to find a location and shoot pictures, now in front of the building we live in is good enough. We definitely don't want to test the baby's patience. She was pretty good even though she still doesn't particularly enjoy walks.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend, and scored some nice sale deals.

Winter, already

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

We got some heavy snow last week, and it took many, including myself, by surprise. Usually, there're some first snow flurries expected around Thanksgiving.

No matter how unexpected the snow was, I was already prepared for winter. In Russia, people say that keeping your feet warm is a top priority and I have that covered thanks to these super warm and stylish CAT boots, c/o New York fashion PR agency AMP3.

What about you, are you ready for Winter?

Fall knits

Sunday, October 29, 2017

As I was going through my knits, I saw this sweater and remembered about these photos my mom took last October.

I found out I was pregnant that day so I never got around to publish this post but I think now it's perfect timing. It's so cold outside, I am ready for my sweaters and coats.

I am still in love with this h&m lace-up sweater even though it's pretty itchy.

Love metallics

Friday, March 24, 2017

I can't help it, I love metallics! At first, I thought it was crazy to combine two things metallic in one outfit - the jacket with the backpack - but then it kind of worked for me.

Speaking of crazy, I am getting pretty big. I'm beginning my 3rd trimester, and none of my regular clothes fit. My life is not the same without my all time favorite pair of Levi's jeans.

I'm always on the lookout of a nice and comfortable pair of maternity jeans but, alas, I am yet to find the perfect one. The jeans I'm wearing here are ASOS, they look the way I like it but the band is a bit too tight.

On me: Kipling Seoul backpack; Renvy silver jacket (sold out); ASOS Mom maternity jeans; Zara sock sneakers; Le Specs glasses

Zara sock sneakers

Tuesday, February 28, 2017

I can't believe that I hadn't checked in this month, not even once! February has flown by pretty quickly.

The highlight purchase of the month are these sock sneakers by Zara. It's not a novel concept, I've seen this before, and I've always loved it, especially sock heels. I am absolutely crazy about this gray pair by Jeffrey Campbell!

Other than that, my outfit is pretty predictable - a coat and a sweater dress, all gray, and a pair of large mirrored glasses by Le Specs.

As for the backpack, I have a new Kipling coming to me since this one is falling apart right in front of my eyes (it's by Ash, and it's the worst purchase of last year :-( ).

Jeffrey Campbell!
