Party ready

I love all shades of green, from neon to emerald. For me, green is the perfect color for a New Year's  party dress. You can see me wear a green blazer dress last year.

I also think camel and green look very special together, and I wore this color combination in this casual outfit a couple of years back.

Anyway, this little green dress is my version of a minimal party outfit for the holiday season. 

This wonderful Christmas room is in the Lincoln Park Conservatory, and I was planning to have a photoshoot here since I posted some snaps on my Facebook and Instagram accounts. Being there really creates a fairy-tale like experience, and is perfect to showcase my dress.

Это такое сказочное место, что мне уже давно хотелось устроить там фотосессию и перед праздниками показать вам что-нибудь понарядней для поддержки праздничного настроения. 

В этом году я снова в зеленом, как и в прошлом. Зеленый - мой любимый цвет, особенно под Новый год.

Кстати, Новый год уже на следующей неделе и я обязательно размещу в блоге новогодние пожелания с новыми фото!

Who doesn't want to look cool, right?! Baggy distressed denim, loose shirt, Birkenstocks... sounds pretty effortless. 

Usually, however, I want an easy solution to look pulled together and fuss free.  And a simple dress for me is a no-brainer; garnished with a pair of cute shoes - turned heads are guaranteed! 

If you insist, a nice floral sheath dress can work with Birks, too! :-)

Кому не хочется выглядеть круто. Рецепт прост - рваные джинсы, свободная рубашка, авиаторы и Биркенштоки! 

А иногда я хочу что-то простое и женственное. Платье - надела и пошла, а комплиментов собирает больше, чем рваные джинсы)) и мозги не надо напрягать излишне!

А, если очень надо, то и платье можно легко надеть с Биркенштоками))

Belle Isle

Many photos, I know, but I really wanted to share with you all the picture perfect areas of Belle Isle in Detroit (I just happened to be in all of them ;-)!

I loved the photos I took last year when the fountain was off, so I was really excited to see it working for the first time in years. It's a truly magnificent place.

As for the outfit, I love dressing up but tend to keep it minimal. This skirt was my mom's, now it's mine...it's the garment that you keep for years. I liked it then, I like it now. It looks dressy with heels and casual with flats. It works great with crop tops as well as simple t-shirts.

Фонтан в этом парке подключили впервые за несколько лет, но и без этого он выглядел впечатляюще (прошлогодние фото здесь). 

Для поездки я выбрала нарядный и в тоже время простой образ. Сменив обувь, его можно легко превратить в повседневный. Хотя с этой юбкой всё смотрится немного по-особенному. Ей сто лет)) Сначала её носила моя мама, сейчас я. Она до сих пор любимая, такая вещь, которую хранишь много лет!
